Alice Neel

Born Queens, NY, 1950

Alice Neel (pseudonym) (1950, Queens NY) artist, educator and activist is a founding member and archivist of the Guerrilla Girls collective.

She worked on the creation, design and production of most of the group's graphic work. Participated in the overnight actions where the group posted their posters. She has taught at several universities and holds a master's degree in Education Sciences. Individually, her work is represented in collections such as MOMA, Neuberger Berman Museum, Smithsonian Libraries Collection, among others.
