Nascida em Istambul, Turquia em 1984. Vive e trabalha em Istambul.
A água é um tema recorrente na sua prática, referindo-se ao que Büyüktaşçıyan entende como a natureza fluída e aquática da memória. Os seus trabalhos mais recentes investigam o significado de "ausência" dentro da memória colectiva, com um foco na transformação urbana e nas sensações de desaparecimento, invisibilidade e isolamento por ela causados.
Büyüktaşçıyan formou-se na Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts, departamento de pintura, em 2006.

Her most recent works enquire into the meaning of 'absence' within collective memory. There is a focus on urban transformation and in the senses of disappearance, invisibility and isolation it causes.
