Unearthing. In Conversation - On Listening and Caring-film still, Belinda Kazeem-Kaminski, 2017

Black women telling their stories. Reviewing History. In different countries, different films appear. Carefully traveled paths, told by black women and through the cinema.

What can there be in common between audiovisual productions from different countries? Immediately, the fact is that the authors of the works to be exhibited are linked - lives, works, processes and / or authorship - to the African continent and its diasporas. This being, therefore, the founding element of this meeting, driven by the debate that gives the cinema a powerful space for intervention and struggle, given its capacity for the imagetic (re)construction of our collective memories.
