Sérgio Catumba

Sérgio Catumba (Bragança, 1986) is an architect with an integrated master's degree in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (2011), and has been working independently or as a co-author since 2019. He previously worked at Barbas Lopes Arquitectos, with whom he collaborated on the rehabilitation of Chalet Faial in Cascais. He was part of the team of curators (with André Tavares, Marguerita Guccione and Pippo Ciorra) for the exhibition "Em Casa. Projects for Contemporary Housing" (CCB / Garagem Sul, Lisbon, 2021). She was part of the research team (coordinated by André Tavares) for the "Evolutive Study of Ílhavo from its Maritime, Military and Industrial Heritage" (LAB2PT-EAUM, 2019, as part of the MMIAH Ílhavo project), published in a book entitled "Um Retrato Marítimo de Ílhavo" (A Maritime Portrait of Ílhavo). He was a Graduate Studio Assistant at Barbas Lopes (Directed Studies Abroad Lisbon program at Azrieli School of Architecture & Urbanism, Carleton University Ottawa, 2016).
