Ivo Tavares (Amarante, 1984) has a degree in Photography from the Portuguese Institute of Photography (IPF) since 2006. He began his professional career as a photojournalist, having collaborated with numerous publications. The leap to architecture was natural, as this was his passion from an early age. He set up his own studio in 2011, where he is now creative director and photographer. Alongside architectural photography, he specializes in hotel and interior design photography. He is often invited to lectures and open classes, and divides his time photographing and studying new ways of presenting and editing images. Author and creator of the Archmov platform, he has made architectural video one of his biggest bets, with projects published on various specialty platforms as well as in national and international publications in the field. In 2016 he was invited to be a trainer at IPF Porto, where he teaches Architecture Photography.
