Over the course of several years, they have accumulated knowledge and shared experiences about wild plants, mushrooms and bacteria. Coming from Latvia a decade ago, it was on the northern beaches that they started a new research project on Atlantic algae. They organise walks at low tide, fermentation workshops and regular publications on plant species. Through community networks and do-it-yourself projects, rooted in the desire to change lifestyle behaviours and eating habits, they foster relationships between local communities and biodiversity.
